Neptune
Mountaineering: When Anatoli was
in Colorado, he could often be found in the store of his friend Gary Neptune.
Gary has been a strong supporter of the Anatoli Boukreev Memorial Fund, not the
least in his example of extending his strong friendship to climbers all around
the world. His friendly shop in Table Mesa in Boulder has long been one of the
great mountaineering shops in the world, and the climbing museum on the walls is
worth a visit for its own sake. |
Osprey
Special thanks to
the folks at Osprey who Anatoli greatly appreciated for their friendship and
personal support and helpfulness in creating the very best packs for the needs
of his high-altitude speed ascents. He was proud to carry their packs, as he was
in Gerry Roach's
wonderful photo on the descent during this one-day ascent of Gasherbrum II.
